In October 2005, six students and one professor from St. Bonaventure University, located in western New York, went to Biloxi, MS. to volunteer in the Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts. Although they accomplished a great deal, the greatest result of the trip was that it inspired approximately 300 students, faculty, alumni, and community members of St. Bonaventure University to take a similar trip in March of 2006. This video shows just a small portion of what was accomplished during the trip.

For one week in March of 2006, nearly 300 students, faculty, alumni, and community members from St. Bonaventure University, located in western New York, took a trip to the gulf coast to volunteer in the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort. Volunteers were located at five different locations along the gulf coast including Biloxi, MS and New Orleans, LA. This video shows just a small portion of what the work was like during the trip and how much was accomplished.

BonaResponds Fall 2006 Buffalo "Surprise Snowstorm" Relief

On a Friday, October 14, 2006, a major snowstorm hit Buffalo, NY. The storm caused substantial damage to several thousand trees throughout the surrounding area. BonaResponds was on the scene by Sunday, Oct. 15, to help in the clean up of these downed trees and was there again every Sunday until late November. This video shows some of the picture from the recovery effort.

BonaResponds left on January 2nd for Randy's Rangers, based out of Pass Christian, Mississippi. This was our first hurricane relief trip since the spring break trip last March. Twenty-six participants joined us as we set out to rebuild and revive the Gulf Coast Community through our service. Our primary task was to build a new volunteer camp, which is crucial in the rebuilding process of the Gulf Coast. This video shows just a few of the many pictures that were taken during the trip.

The volunteers that make BonaResponds possible have managed to take thousands of pictures while working on all of the different volunteer activities and relief trips. Here are the links to all of the different photo sets.
