CYC and BonaResponds: Crutches Project
Christian Youth Corps has teamed up with BonaResponds of St Bonaventure University to impact the dire need for crutches in Haiti. Below is a video from the Olean Times Herald created at our work day on February 21st.
CYC has joined in collecting crutches for BonaResponds to send to Haiti. Also CYC is determined to make an impact in the big need by supplementing the collected crutches with 100-200 emergency crutches - MAKING crutches!
Companies such as Home Depot - FXI Foam Products - have donated materials for us to greatly assist BONARESPONDS in making a true impact in the need on the ground in Haiti.
Collection of Crutches, Walkers, Canes and Tents
With all of the recent amputations and other injuries, the people of Haiti are in desperate need of crutches and walkers. Thousands and thousands of people are living in makeshift "shanty towns" - literally living under sheets and blankets. Please help by donating tents to provide shelter. This is especially critical through their rainy season. We have contacts in Haiti ready and anxious to receive this donated equipment.
Please help!
Please check your attics, garages, basements... ask friends, relatives, neighbors...
